Thanks For The Rain... :)

In light of yesterday, today is so much brighter. Yes, it is twice as dark outside and it has begun to rain... But it is so beautiful beyond compare. Yesterday was an overall bad day for me in more ways than I can explain. But I learned something from it. I learned that I did not take my problems where I should have and did not trust when I heard God say, "Be still..." but today I wake up to this gloom and dreary weather and a quote came to mind: 

"Every shadow is evidence of sun." – Nichole Nordeman

Without the dark, bad days in my life I wouldn't realize my need for the Light. Without my misery and pain I wouldn't see that there was something more. If my life was perfect I wouldn't see a need for a Savior! So even when I'm walking in light and I turn my back and try to make it in my own strength I can look past the shadow my sin is creating and see the light that is creating the drastic difference. Maybe this doesn't make sense, but it does to me. 

The righteous person faces many troubles,
 but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. -Psalm 34:19
